Pathways to Change works across South Africa, with a focus on communities where women and girls face heightened vulnerabilities.
We incorporate Population–Health–Environment (PHE) principles in rural communities, recognising the interconnections between environmental conditions, livelihoods, health outcomes and the safety of women and girls.
Empowering Women and Girls. Strengthening Communities. Advancing Equality. Transforming lives in tangible, meaningful ways.
In rural and under-served communities where women and girls face compounded barriers of isolation, poverty, and limited access to essential services, we strengthen local systems and build community capacity to uphold their rights, safety, and health.
In informal settlements where poverty, overcrowding, and inadequate infrastructure intensify risks of violence and limit access to health services, we work alongside communities to create safer spaces and strengthen pathways to care for women and girls.
In schools, universities, and TVET colleges, we create safer learning environments and deliver youth-inclusive programs that equip young people with knowledge, skills, and support to make informed choices about their health, relationships, and rights.
In primary healthcare facilities, we strengthen provider capacity and service delivery to ensure women, girls, and all young people receive inclusive, youth-friendly, and rights-based SRHR care that upholds their dignity and wellbeing.
Through community-based organisations, we build local capacity and strengthen grassroots networks to deliver survivor-centered support, expand SRHR access, and mobilize communities as agents of change for gender equality and women's rights.
Through youth groups and male peer networks, we engage boys and young men as allies and change agents, fostering positive masculinities and collective action to prevent violence, support gender equality, and strengthen community wellbeing.
Over 50 years combined experience in delivering high-impact, social services to women around South Africa and Africa.
